Pakistan won 8 medals including two gold common wealth game

 

Pakistan performed well in common wealth gameA total of 68 athletes participated in 12 different sports in the Commonwealth Games and won 8 medals including 2 gold. Noah Dastgir Butt not only won the gold medal but also won the Commonwealth Games by lifting a total of 405 kg in the over 109 kg weight category.  A new record was also established.

Good performance from Arshad Nadeem, Inam butt, inayatullah, Ali Asad

Javelin Tharoor Arshad Nadeem won gold medal in athletics with a new record, wrestlers Sharif Tahir, Inam Butt and Zaman Anwar won silver medals, wrestlers Inayatullah and Ali Asad along with judoka Shah Hussain Shah won bronze medals.  Pakistan had won 10 medals including 4 gold in 1970, thus after 52 years, Pakistan’s best performance in these Games came out.

Manchester Commonwealth Games 2002 Pakistani athletes won 8 medals but included only one gold, Delhi won 5 medals including 2 gold in 2010, Arshad Nadeem is the only third athlete in Pakistan’s history in the track and field events. He won a gold medal in 120 yards of Hurdles.

Arshad Nadeem set a new record of the 86.29-meter throw South Asian Games in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2019, he improved inIran during the Tokyo Olympics preparation, based on the same performance last year at the Tokyo Olympics at 84.62.
